In fifth grade our main focus of Social Studies is United States History. Students learn about their country from the begninning up to the current day.

Current Events

Each week, one group is responsible for completing a current events project. Directions and a sample can be found here.

Research Paper

All fifth graders will be completing a research paper about their country of origin. This is considered an at-home project. However, we have set up due dates to monitor the progress of the students throughout the process. Each student should have a manila envelope with the their information inside.
